We have fallen behind in welcoming new members. Here are the most recent additions to our membership rolls: Blackout Melanoma educates, advocates, and provides resources to secure a generation free of Melanoma. http://blackoutmelanoma.org Jason Farley All In For A Cure Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in May 2014 in Loving Memory of Jason Farley who passed away at the young age of 30 from Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma. • We are dedicated to raising awareness to the public about the dangers of tanning bed use and over exposure to the sun. • We are advocates of legislation supporting safety and restrictions of UV exposure from tanning devices. • We are committed to raising funds for melanoma research for Mass General Hospital and other organizations with hope of one day finding a cure. • We also provide financial assistance to individuals in need, that have been affected by melanoma. http://jasonfarleymelanomafoundation.org
SolSurvivors Oregon is a network of melanoma survivors, family, and friends who are passionate about raising awareness for melanoma, providing peer-to-peer support, and facilitating the involvement of patients and their loved ones in the design of melanoma research. We coordinate community events to educate patients and their families, advocate for sun safety, and are working closely with researchers at Oregon Health & Science University to wage a War on Melanoma. http://solsurvivorsusa.org/oregon.html MAC also welcomes new Associate Member Victoria Siegel. Victoria is a professor of Nursing at Molloy College in New York.
