 MAC is pleased to welcome our newest member, the Melanoma Foundation of New England. MFNE was founded in 1999 by Mel and Marilyn Rubin in memory of their son Mark who lost his battle with melanoma. MFNE’s mission is to reduce the incidence of melanoma in the New England region. We provide a variety of educational programs targeting the prevention and early detection of skin cancer and melanoma for both children and adults. MFNE also assists patients and their caregivers struggling with melanoma by offering support groups, educational programs, and Billy’s Buddies, a one-on-one patient advocacy and support program. These programs are all free. A Medical Advisory Board and Board of Directors comprised of business people, health care professionals, and leading melanoma specialists provide guidance to MFNE. Our fundraising events provide funding for education and support programs aimed at prevention, early detection and support.

The mission of March4Meg is to fight melanoma by increasing awareness, offering educational programs and raising funds for the melanoma program at Advocate Christ Medical Center. In addition, financial resources will be utilized for other related melanoma prevention programs as well as financial support to melanoma patients and their families. March4Meg is based in Chicago, IL
